What year are you in?

Nexley files your notes against your actual syllabus, and Year 11 and Year 12 are different courses — so knowing your year means the syllabus you paste is read against the right one. You can skip it, and change it in Settings whenever you move up.

The accent is the colour of everything the app does — links, the current note, a filled progress bar. It is not the colour of your subjects, which you choose per subject.

Used to show the right syllabus codes when you paste a syllabus — Year 11 and Year 12 are different courses. Change it here when you move up a year.

Privacy

Which screens get opened and how often — counts and fixed labels only. It goes to Nexley's own database and nowhere else, there is no advertising or tracking company involved, and it is built so it cannot carry a note, a title or anything you have written. Turning this off changes nothing about how the app works. What is collected.

Your work

A snapshot is taken automatically once a day. Export is a plain file that needs no account and no internet to read back.

Getting help

Feedback comes back to you with a reply. A problem report is write-only on purpose — nothing in it can ever be read back out, which is what keeps your notes out of a crash log.

Account

Removes your account and everything in it — notes, marks, papers, shares and comps. There is no snapshot for this one; it cannot be undone.

This permanently removes your account and everything in it — every subject, note, mark, paper, share and comp entry. It cannot be undone: there is no snapshot to restore from, because the account itself is gone, not just marked as removed.

Your username

This is how someone sends you a note or invites you to a comp. Pick something you would say out loud — it is not your email, and it is not your real name unless you want it to be.

3 to 20 characters. Letters, numbers and underscores, starting with a letter. You can change it later — anything already sent keeps the name it was sent under.

Paste the marking criteria you were given — the actual words, from the marking guide or the task sheet. It marks against those and nothing else. Without them there is nothing to mark against, so it will not guess.

This is not your mark. It never goes into the paper, it is never averaged with a real mark, and it disappears when you close this. A real mark is one a teacher gave you.
